Aoede-San Francisco-based indie alternative pop rock-a la the pretty stepchild of Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple and Nick Cave-is the rare breed of artist who can shatter the pre-conceived notions and prejudices of the audience, enrapturing the crowd. Aoede is San Francisco trio Lisa Sniderman, David Sands, and John Walden. Inspired by their desire to connect with audiences, Aoede formed in 2005. Sniderman drew from real-life personal experiences to conjure up songs that were as revealing as they were melodic. In Greek mythology, Aoede was the muse of song. Sniderman is the rare vocalist who draws inspiration from her many muses and then is able to transfer that inspiration to listeners. For more information on Aoede, visit www.aoedemuse.com.
